I find it insane how he basically sits down before making his way back up.

the fact that the video said "death lift" made it that much more awesome

Wow that is unbelievable. And he does get way low before he pulls, makes me really think i need to stretch more.

Yes. From now on we don't dead lift, we perform the death lift.

858 lbs.!!! damn!!!

Ya, he doesn't actually start the pull until he is in the correct starting postion though. That seems like it's just a mental thing when he squats down that low before he starts the pull. I do s*** like that sometimes as part of my psyche-up before lifts.

Damn not only did he not used straps, he did not have and under/over hand grip which tends to help with grip to some extent. He also has great form with such a heavy lift, very F'cking impressive!!

double overhand with that weight is sick ****. I do some rack pulls with around 500 double overhand and that **** almost falls out of my hands every rep.

He used the hook grip, not the traditional double overhand.

That's the most impressive lifting I have ever seen and I have seen a lot. He is so flexible because I believe he has an oly lifting background. He's also a really impressive strongman. I would love to see guys like him, Zavickas. and Virastyuk in the WSM.

Yep, you can see his weightlifting background in how he pulls. He basically pulls like he would begin a squat clean.

Very interesting pulling technique. Incredible strength.

That being said, when the Russian weightlifting federation bans you from competing because of your steroid use then you must be on more gear that Coleman and Jay combined. This is no way detracts anything, just an observation.

**** me... I wanna go deadlift.
