When I take my bench grip out to index fingers on the rings, I get wrist pain. My max is low 200s, and I can feel discomfort at just 95 pounds. Wrapping my wrists take care of this, I just wrap tighter the heavier I go. I dont bend my wrists back very much when I bench, the pain comes from having to bend my wrists inward to grip the bar.
My question is the pain from a weakness, or is it technique? It doesnt bother me too much, I would just prefer not too be dependant on the wraps for pain free benching. Any advice on what to fix this would be appreciated.
edit:My bench grip is with thumbs around the bar if it matters.
