What should I eat?
Do you guys recommend energy drinks such as red bull or monster?

eat lots in the morning, but around 2hrs before you lift, stop eating. Drink throughout the entire day. I'd say you'll probably be wound up enough without the need of red bull but its probably not going to hurt yourself so long as you keep drinking water and gatorade

I'd say get some good carbs in the morning, assuming you have already weighed in. Some oatmeal with peanut butter and honey. Also a banana or two. Don't stuff yourself, but be comfortable. I think energy drinks are over rated. Try orange juice instead.

Make sure you pump in the vitamin c, electrolytes and carbs. I generally start chugging the Monster's around deadlift time b/c the pressures of the day really start to wear on you by then.

Eat what you normally eat. The last thing you want is an uneasy stomach when you're on deck for a heavy squat...
