View Full Version : Getting a Headstart on the Freshman Fifteen

Yesterday my football team lost in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. I was the starting center on that team and I'm tremendously bummed out. However, I decided sometime last year that once my senior season was over, I'd try and shed some of the excess lineman weight and get cut. My current weight has been fluctuating between 205 and 210. My goal would be somewhere between 175-185. I want to get thinner, but I don't want to lose too much of my muscle mass. I mostly just want people to be able to see my muscle.

For this first week I want to just let my body recover, let my mind resettle and keep track of how much I'm eating. For week two I'm going to begin gradually downsizing the amount of calories I eat along with slashing carbs. I'll be posting my lifting on here and possibly my food log. I've used fitday in the past, but I recently found www.thedailyplate.com and I think its more comprehensive.

As the title of the thread suggests, the plan is to offset the freshman fifteen by getting a headstart on losing weight my senior year.
