Do the bands make it easier as you get closer to the lock out position?

That's a nice a** lift!! What do reverse bands do to help you get stronger though?

They mimick a shirted press and help to overload the lockout.

Very nice work Rob!

Very impressive. Do you always use blues or do you switch it up useing different bands?

Are monster minis good for reverse band? I have never done them but am going to try them today.

Travis Bell

Not really. They don't deload enough at the bottom to make it worthwhile. what you may have seen is guys using reverse MM bands for reverse band squatting, but not benching. Purple bands is the lightest I've gone

We usually stick with greens. Speaking of - we haven't done these in a while. May have to add them in tomorrow.

I need to buy the whole set of bands. I only have the MM's. I'm going to try them tonight anyways. I think they're good for 110lbs when they're doubled. So I should get a 500lb press pretty easy.

Travis Bell

Well doubled they are going to deload more than that at the bottom. Most people just choke the band around the top of the power rack.

Just because they add 110lbs at the top when attached at the bottom of the rack doesn't mean they deload that much or only that much. The distance they are stretched is a lot farther in reverse bands press

Nice lifting! That was very cool.

For everyone trying to figure out how much the bands add or deload STOP! You are wasting your time. A band lift does not translate to straight weight. There are way too many variables.
