Out of control lately. Just ate an entire mince meat pie, 2 cans of tuna and drank 1L of milk. This was meal number 3. I'm full... for now but lately I can't seem to control my appetite -- and I'm not eating a lot of junk. It must be the weights. Just hope I grow my muscles and not my gut. LOL!

Bri, I'm scared. This much food can't be good for me. LOL! I'm gonna go broke. I'm already eating again (roast beef and cheddar sammich and pasta salad). It's not like I'm trying to eat more. I simply am hungry constantly since I started lifting. I eat for relief.

Eating a lot of food without resorting to junk food is only going to do good things for you.

Nothing wrong with eating a lot. Milk is not overly expensive and that can be good to curb some hunger.

Stick with low glycemic carbs as they take longer to break down and will keep you feeling full for longer.

Make sure to get your fiber too. Green drinks and fiber one. Keeps you full and keeps that food coming out and not getting jammed up into your insides....more people have this going on than they realize.

I officially attribute the insane eating to a new Squat PR. Yesterday I squated 185 for 3 reps (deep squats) and my prior best was 2. I felt great and bumped it to 205 and banged out two deep, good form reps -- no cheating. I was stoked. At last my DL is above 300, my squats broke 200 and my BP broke 200. Out of the sub 200s on all 3 forever!

The night before the latest squat session I shut down wing night at Bernies. Dinner consisted of 45 wings, 2 steak wraps, a beer and 3 diet cokes. 2 hours later at home, I was hungry again and ate an entire tub of yogurt with natty pb mixed in and a drank a big glass of milk, followed by a pack of roast beef.

The next morning I woke up feeling invincible. Food is good. Oh yes!

I know these numbers are tiny but not long ago I could barely press 135 with good form, could hardly sqyat 135 and could only deadlift 185. Loving the new feeling.

You lift, you need more food, your appetite goes up. It's not that amazing. Good job though.

Cardio should help to keep the furnish burning so that your body doesn't turn all that food into fat. What I found for myself is that no matter how much I eat, as long as I am lifting heavy and really pushing myself, fat gains are minimal.

Hit 205 x 5 for 2 sets last night on bench! Man, I am really freakin' loving these strength gains. If only I had found this site as a teen. I was lifting but NOT eating enough. Damn! Coulda been swole by now. Oh well.

Now that is some funny stuff right there. I almost fell out of my chair. I can totally relate. You might as well be sitting on the throne while you eat.

Post thanksgiving day workout PR today. I am finally a man.

225 x 2 on bench press!

First time I've ever attempted 225 and rep 1 was so easy I went for 2 and nailed it! YES!!!! Weird thing though is that, despite all the eating, body weight dropped to 190. LOL!
