Ingredients:
Two large bananas
Two pieces of bread (I used Dempsters white bread)
Peanut butter

Steps:
1. Take your two pieces of bread, smother them in peanut butter.
2. Take a large banana and cut it up into slices and put it on top of the peanut butter. I used one banana per slice of bread.
3. Get yourself a nice glass of milk to wash it down.

Calorie Count:

80 Calories per table spoon of peanut butter, I used about 5 so there is 400 calories.

170 Calories per two slices of white bread, so 170 calories.

around 100 calories per large banana so 200 calories.

TOTAL: 770 CALORIES

Also very filling and tasty.

Let me know what you think.

That is a pretty good idea because I know how good a banana is when I put Peanut butter on it.

See, you soon discover that it isn't hard to eat a lot of calories. You just have to choose your food selection wisely. You could also add half a cup of nuts to this snack (roughly 300cals) and you easily create a 1000 cal "snack".

there is an unbelieveable amount of crap in bread, white bread especially. I woudlnt touch the stuff.
Bread should go hard the day you buy it, most bread stays soft for weeks.

this is not bread.

According to some nutritionist (who looked like she just got released from Dachau circa 1945) on the local news eating a banana is like eating two pieces of white bread. She even said it with a bizarre look on her face.

Yeah, I eat this every morning before a race but with stone ground wheat. I can't remember the brand but it doesn't have all the preservative crap in it and it's goooood!!

Non-Dietary Argument:
Potassium bromate is a carcinogen, but it's not illegal to use it to bleach flour in the US.

Dietary Argument:
White bread has small carbohydrate chains, which lead to insulin spikes and crashes. I guess this can potentially be good sometimes (if you're bulking and want to get hungry), but generally it is unpleasant and unhealthy.

Take the PB and banana sandwich and then put some butter on it and toast it in a pan like grilled cheese... its sooooo damn good, and it's warm (which is nice with the winter coming up).

A good addition to your banana PB sandwich would be shredded coconut, Adds lots of extra healthy calories
