A while ago a hurt my chest, and I've gotten back into benching again. I believe the reason I hurt my chest last time was because I didn't warm up enough. So I've been making sure to do that. Whenever I warm up my shoulder on the side of my chest that I injured I feel a clicking in the joint. This normally only occurs when I do arm circles holding a 5 lb plate but occasionally happens when doing incline or flat flies. I'm wondering now if a shoulder problem was what lead to me chest getting injured. It really feels like it could have had something to do with it. Thing is no matter how much I warm up I always feel the clicking... I need some suggestions on how to fix this.

I'd probably stop doing the flies if I were you. I find them to be tough on the shoulders.
