Hi guys. Im 251 and I want to get down to 200 lbs, Im currently doing cardio 30 mins 5x a week. How many grams of protein or calories should I be eating to lose weight. Im also trying like hell to maintain my strength. I have my meals planned out and I have accounted for the 300 odd calories for the Results plus the fat loss stack. Any help is greatly appreciated.

50lbs is going to be a bitch...I've lost 30lbs before, I was basically living off tuna, egg whites, chicken and vegies for the last month though haha

Lyle McDonald has a book called "The Ultimate Diet 2.0", the diet and w/o plan are a bit extreme IMO, but reading it was definitely an eye opener and I'd recommend it to anyone.

We are in the exact same boat (I'm a PLer as well). I also weigh 251 as of this morning, and my goal is to get down to 200 as well. Back in 2006 I went from 288 to 228 in a 7-month period. I did it by cycling my daily caloric in-take. I would take in 2200 calories one week, 2500 the next, and 2800 the third week, and then back to 2200 again. I kept the protein at around 200+ grams per day and I drank nothing but water. I avoided all junk food, but if I hit a plateau in my weight loss (few days or so) then I would pig out on a pizza or something like that, and my fat burning would be rejuvinated.

I would also cycle my cardio by doing HIIT one week followed by 30-45 minutes of steady state cardio the next. As for the lifting, I of course maintained a typical strength program 3-4 days per week.

Eat less and work harder. If you are trying to get into single digit bodyfat then you really need help. Just make good choices. More protein and less carbs. It's not rocket science.
