Hi I am going to start my log over here and see how it goes. here is a video of my squats last night. hit a raw max { no knee wraps or belt} of 720 missed the 735.

after the 735 the song keeps playing but no more video, I forgot to cut it down.

Ill be starting Smolov squat routine next week to try and up my raw total to 800 and see how i do.

Maybe just a little high, but that's an impressive amount of weight. Nice lifting.

thanks, i dont think that the 720 was high, i have a high butt so it makes me look hi but the thighs hit parallel .

Yeah the 720 did look better. It's hard to judge from that angle but it would probably pass in most meets.

THANKS DREW. i believe the 735 would have passed had i locked it out. If i had a belt i could have gotten it. then on to knee wraps.

You are either out of your mind or do not understand what parallel means.

A squat breaks parallel is when the crease of your hip drops below the top of your knee.

ok then how come rule books say when your thigh line is parallel with you knee?

It's a lift in training, and it's pretty close. Get over it.

first of all there is no need for the nasty comment. How about trying to be supportive in your comments. Second, it's a training lift. Third, he is very new to pling and did not have ANY supportive gear at all on.

Jay has huge potential and he does something alot of young guys do not do, he LISTENS! He trains with me on Fridays and I promise you, you will here and read about this guy in the future.

BTW, he whined he like a little girl about the box jumps!:moon:

Thanks jeff....lol about the box jumps, I did whine at first but I actually liKE them......lol \ I do believe I pulled an AB.

I have never done a meet, but will in May 09', I have been in it for 4-5 months So still learning. Elitepler and webber25 are teaching me things been lifting with them since Halloween.

Will you be competing raw or in gear? Looks like you'll have some good advice from your partners, but don't wait too long to get into the gear if that's the route you're going, there is a pretty large adjustment from raw lifting.

I am going to start wearing gear after the New year, but i believe i will lift the first meet raw
