It definetly does stop the bodies use to make creatine. i used it for 3 months, every day i took 10 grams. the first 3 or 4 days i was off my muscles seriously felt dry and tight. i thought i could rid this by drinking alot of water and so i drank alot of water, its day 6 and the tightness of my muscles has gone down, i feel normal again. i think my body is making creatine again. so for anyone else on the stuff i would recommend not exceeding a month before taking a week off. im 16 and in really good health, if you older, the side effects could be worse

You can't 'feel' yourself making creatine.
I don't think you can 'shut it down' either. I think that was marketing hype to make creatine sound like steroids.

Not true dude. If you don't cycle your creatine, it will cause your body to at least decrease it's natural production. I've read a few studies that say you should cycle every 2 to 3 weeks.

just don't use too much, you'll be fine. Some people just really overdue it with that crap. If you insist on using more than 70g a week, then yeh, cycle 3:1 would be a good idea.
