View Full Version : Please critique my Good Morning form
Here's two videos showing an example of my Good Morning form with a low weight. I've never tried them properly and want to know how my form is. Can only go that deep by bending my legs that much.

What you're doing is almost a squat. Check out the illustration at this site on how to go a Good Morning properly: http://www.sports-db.com/strength/gym/legs/goodmorning/index.html
Yeah, that's a lot of knee bend. You don't have to keep them locked, but it should only be a slight bend. What you're doing is more like a squat with a GM at the bottom. When you start, lead by pushing your hips back and let your upper body follow. It's all in the hips.
Thanks guys. Need to practice a lot, its the only lift i've really neglected that i shouldn't have
And yeah, it kinda looks like a squat performed by someone who doesn't know how to squat properly...

I cant do a good morning w/o bending my knees 30 degrees or so... I am trying to get better but my Hammies are SO tight that it is a nasty stretch at the same time!
