I see many food products that are made out of beans contain a lot of protein as stated in the nutrition facts. I'm just wondering if that's soy protein instead of whey protein. I know there's a difference between soy and whey protein. So if I would really like to know how much whey protein I consume everyday, shall I count the protein from bean products or nuts?

Yes beans are excellent nutrition all around, good protein and fiber for your digestive track. My nutrition teacher swore that chili was overall one of the most nutritious meals all around if you put beans, chicken and veggies in it.
