Thanks guys... I weighed in a few weeks ago when I first came back at 179 with full clothes, I have been weighing myself in just some light clothes (i.e.- boxers/t-shirt) and seeing some really good gains. I decided to weigh myself in the same clothes as a few weeks ago when I was 179. I was 195 today. I need to fix my scale at home and weigh myself in the morning with no clothes from now on...Anyway...

I can only thank God for saving me and breaking my chains of addiction. I am now chained to the word and Jesus.

That if you confess with your mouth, "JESUS IS LORD", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

I need to spread the word of Jesus Christ, my bones have been shaken!! The Lord has performed nothing less than a miracle in my life! I was addicted to many different drugs for the past 10+ years, but mainly marijuana. I have done cocaine, heroin, and more drugs than I can remember... As well as horrible stints of binge drinking. I was a complete and utter addict, and going straight to hell. I have been dabbling with Christianity for the past 4 years or so, but never really dedicated myself to it. Well as soon as I got into the word and really put my sights on the Lord's will... Well my chains of addiction were INSTANTLY broken, my addictions stripped from me!! You honestly don't know the possibilities until you surrender it all to GOD! It can happen to YOU, Jesus died for us all!

I don't know what I'm doing now. It was harder than I expected... My groove is off or something. I might take next week off from squatting and then come back with a real planned out routine.

I don't really want to take a day off although my wife would love it. :bang:

And hey, look at my deadlift session from last week... I guess I do sets of 7. :whazzup:

So I started pulling tonight and wondered why my hamstrings felt like they were going to rip off, and why everything felt so heavy. I then talked to John and he wondered how many weeks in a row I had been pulling. Turns out it was like 10 straight weeks and I am shot... I had planned on taking every forth week off from each movement, rotating so it was only one day off every fourth week. Well that turned out to be to complicated for me and I missed taking off from deadlifts. Ohh well, live and learn.

well you dont have to do deadlifts every week... you could do stifflegged bar pickups....or rack bar pickups...or bar pickups against bands..sumo bar pickups..the list goes on and one..one week do deadlifts then the next week do bar pickups:)>>:soapbox:

So its been a really rough couple days for me, i strained my lower back doing deadlifts on friday badly. This is the worst i have ever done this, to the point where I slept about 3 hours friday night, got up early saturday and tried to walk, i broke out in a horrible sweat and almost puked from the pain. i have been not moving around much since then, praise God though I feel much better tonight. The Lord will see me through, and hopefully I can figure out how to strengthen this area so I don't do this again.

But with my back feeling the way it does even tonight I guess it would be best to give it a week... Maybe just go in and slam my triceps and maybe try stretching and maybe some GPP.

I didn't train friday due to the gym locked up tight, but that was good I felt like crap and probably needed another night off. I then got sick saturday night and had a fever sunday and monday. So that took me out of the gym monday. I feel much better today though, thanks to GOD!
