Today i made an amazing protein bar unlike others its:

moist
no added sugars or bad fats
no bake
absolutely delicious

My recipe needs tweaking to get it perfect, but for my first go it went great. I only made one bar as i was experimenting, but will make some more soon and see if i can perfect it

Ingredients

2 tbs dates, chopped finely
1 tbs raisins, chopped finely
3 tbs oats - plus more until right consistency
3 tbs apple juice
half scoop whey protein
1 heaped tsp peanut butter

Method

Mix all ingredients except peanut butter and apple juice in a bowl.
Put peanut butter and apple juice and microwave for 30-40 seconds until warm and mix well.
Add wet mix to dry ingredients and stir
Add more oats if necessary until thick consistency
Put on sheet of tin foil and fold up
Smack on surface to form a bar shape
Refrigerate until eaten (I froze as i couldnt wait!!)

At the moment bar is coming out a bit sticky, so am going to play with it so that i still get a moist bar but isnt so sticky... any ideas?

Less dates/raisins, or more oats.

I might do this, but with shredded unsweetened coconut instead of oats (Paleo friendly).

Its the dates which make it so great!!! I guess even more oats, and less apple juice?

try this when bulking OR ANY TIME

3 cups of oaks
1 tin of organic peanut butter
1 jar of set honey
dry fruit i use apircots but dates would work better i think
a little butter
flaxseed oil
4-6 spoons of protein
put oats in a big pan and heat when they start to get hot but not toast add butter/honey/oil/peanut butter/fruit mix well turn of heat then add protein enough untill it goes dry ish turn out in to a cake tin or any thing square chill for a couple of hours turn out cut in to chunks of 7-10.
will last for about 10 days maybe more if you can keep ya hands of them.

Glad you like em.

I have tried them again and again, and now i do the following:

200g dried fruit (dates best imo!)
2tbs (big heaped) of peanut butter
100ml apple juice (around about)
oats
6 scoops protein powder

1. Mix dried fruit and protein powder in large bowl.
2. put peanut butter and apple juice in jug and microwave 30 secs, mix, mic 30 secs. stir.
3. Add pb n apple juice mix to fruit n protein mix. Stir until completely absorbed.
4. Add oats until it forms a very thick mix. (around 500g)
5. Press into greaseproof paper lined tray
6. Refrigerate
7. (optional) melt chocolate and spread over top. Improves taste and reduces stickiness.
8. Cut into bars, individually wrap/bag up.
9. Freeze or refrigerate depending on how soon you need them.

Macros unsure atm

please note quantities are approx. dont have any scales / measuring cups in house!!!
