To drop 25-30lbs?

At this moment in time I'm honestly not fussed about muscle gain, I just want to lose the gut a little before I start building muscle. Plus I've only been lifting 3-4 weeks so I will still get gains.

I guess what I want to know is; how long on an average does a member of this board take to lose weight?

Cheers.

Depends on a lot of things. Somewhere between 4 months and 4 years.

took me three months last time I dropped 30lbs.

Figure about 1lb a week so 25-30 weeks would be good.

You can lose it as fast or as slow as you want.

That's very true. I was in a weight loss competition once and dropped 24.5 pounds in 21 days. Obviously not healthy, but I won $200.

I think its what you put your mind on doing. I'm losing like 10 pounds per month its not easy but when you see results its worth it for more. So i would say a good 3 months just my opinion for you to lose 30 Lbs.

Just bear in mind, the faster you lose it, the more likely you lose lean mass.
