View Full Version : In need of some advice

I am having trouble figuring whats been going on with my progress, and I am pretty sure its diet related but, I dont know the best way to go about it. I am 23 male, 6'2" 215lbs. Approx 8 months ago I weighed 180lbs. I dont count every calorie, but I would guess it to be in the 4000 range right now. I would describe it as pretty clean.

Now on to the problem, I have gained a good amount of fat from 180 to 215. Lately I have been hovering around the 214-217 mark, but I feel like I am still gaining fat in certain areas, particularly the stomach. My strength has gone up in every lift, and I focus my workouts around compound lifts. I dont think I put on the weight too fast, but there is alot more fat than I expected. Should I decrease cals and diet down to a certain wieght? I feel that if I do that and then when I try to gain again, I will be in the same boat as I am in now. Any ideas?
