Can whey protein go bad?

I have some whey protein that is about two years old. Can whey protein actually go bad, or would it be ok to still use? Thanks

There's an expiration date on mine...expires sometime in 2010 i think, check your container.

It should still be good. Was it left open or did you have it in a sealed container? What makes food go bad is the air inside. If it's exposed too much then it will go bad, if it's sealed it won't.

i had a tub of whey for like a year and a half and it was ok but like jocs said check the container

Yeah its been in a plastic container with a lid on it, I never checked the expiration date on the bag that it came in. But some dude at GNC told me I shouldn't use it anymore because its most likely bad. I figured he was just saying that so that I should buy some more at GNC.

I got 2 huge tubs of whey for free cuz they were expired, now they only expired about 2 months ago, but they still taste decent, you might as well just finish off what you got then go buy some more, save yourself some money
