View Full Version : Ground beef confusion

Im having trouble with figuring out ground beef servings. I want to eat all of the fat in the burgers I cook so I started adding the grease (which came out of them during cooking) and weighing it. But when I weigh the burgers with all that grease the weight slowly starts to increase. Whats going on? Is it the saturated fat turning solid?

... You put the grease back in? Thats revolting and can't be healthy.

Please leave the grease out. There is quite enough saturated fat in a burger even after you have grilled it.

Saturated fat is regarded as a 'bad' fat and competes in your body with 'good' fats, too much saturated fat can inhibit the action of the good fats.

Moderate intake of saturated fat is OK.

grill the burger man, tastes better and it you dont want all that extra fat. its naturally like 50% fat and 50% meat, after cooking its more like 75/25 which is alot of fat, especially if you grill 5 pounds like me and just eat it off the grill
