Been doing a lot of research on arginine supplementation and have come to the conclusion that combining it with lysine enhances its effectiveness, therefore allowing you to get the effects with lower doses of arginine than by taking it alone. Has anyone supplemented the two together and if so, at what dose? Thank you.

A lot of protein powders and amino acid supplments combine the two.

Why are you looking at taking arginine? To try to boost growth hormone production while sleeping? That is really the only time that I have heard of anyone taking arginine alone. (Unless you are talking about NO products, but that is different than L-Arginine)

Arginine as a natural precursor to NO production is what originally caused me to research its use. The combination of arginine and lysine (supposedly about 1200-1500 mg of each) to raise growth hormone during rest is the direction I'm looking at though. Supposedly arginine along will give the same results but only in very high doses (anywhere from 15-40 grams per day), the combination knocks the effective dose down dramatically.
Outside of clinical studies I have been unable to find anyone with a "working knowledge" of this. Basically was just looking for any input, personal experience you may have with this.
