hi, im 19 years old and i've been skinny throughout my life! i started getting into gym when i was in high school (the only results i gained was getting more lean and cut). its been 4 months now and i want to get back into it. i want to gain weight!
ive been doing some research on it and it seems that diet is a crucial factor for gaining weight. so i want to know which weight gain shake is right for me?
i counted the carlories i eat a day... not enough!!! do i get protein shakes or the meal replacement ones. taste is a big factor for me, i hate clunks in my milk. i want the ones that easily turn into a milk shake.
cheers :strong:

If you cant get the at large nutrition products, go to a GNC and talk to them about weight gainer options. They sure helped me out alot

GNC is one of the worst resources that you could look to - outrageous pricing and the reps are generally not very knowledgable.
Vitamin Shoppe is the best choice if you must buy from a local retail store.
What kind of shakes are you drinking right now? Mixability and taste are huge factors when you are looking to drink multiple shakes on a daily basis.

Can you find out what brands your local store carries? I own a store and would be more than willing to give you a recommendation once I know whats available.
The most cost effective shake to gain weight is to buy one of the 1200 calorie shakes. But you dont use full servings. use 1/4-1/2 a serving in milk which equals about 600-800 cals.
FORMULA FOR WEIGHT GAIN :strong:
Once you get your shake, get a cheap stop watch that has a timer. Set it for 2.5 hours, and every time it goes off during the day either have a full meal or have a shake.

In that case, try this Maximus (http://atlargenutrition.com/nutrition_detail.php?products_id=18). If your on a budget, you could do 3-4 scoops instead of 5, with milk and follow my above formula;)

Real Gains has worked well for me in the past. Right now I am using cytogainer, its made by the muscle milk company... It works very well. But it has creatine in it, not sure if you want to take creatine or not.
Eat every three hours, I usually take a shake as breakfast with some yogurt or fruit. Then the next meal is solid food, then a shake again. Shake then food, shake than food... until I go to sleep. Then I have been eating tons of pasta (semolina) as my last meal and capping that off with a shake and then sleeping. I have almost puked in my sleep a few times, but ohh well. :burger:
You will be good for a fast 10lbs of body weight as soon as you do this.

If you have the money you can take a weight-gaining supplement.
But it's a lot cheaper just to take a regular protein shake and eat a lot of calories.
