hi i was wondering does anyone take more than 5 grams of creatine a day. ive been taking 5g a day but i havent seen much results...
If you take more than 5g a day does it work faster or better?
From what I understand, you'll just be wasting your creatine as your muscles haev a threshold of much it can absorb.
Creatine in your body is like a pail of water. Any excess that you pour will just "spill out the sides" but instead of spilling you urinate.

What type of creatine is it?.
Monohydrate, some will advise loading by 10gs a day for a week and then maintain at 5g a day after reaching saturation.
Ethyl Ester can just be taken at 5g a day straight away.
What have you expected to see?
The results of taking creatine can be subtle and temporary.

It is my understanding that the loading phase is worthless (but i could be wrong, I am not an expert). 5g post work out should get you to the proper levels rather quickly, and you dont have to deal with the dehydration of the load phase.
I have had great results using creatine monohydrate at 3-5g daily.

What kind of creatine is it? Are you taking it with any carbs?

I take 5g a day, every once and a while(maybe once or twice a week) I will take 10g just to make sure my saturations stay up
