Me and a mate are thinking about visiting America for a week in the Summer/Autumn (we're from Northern Ireland).
Lookin for somewhere along the east side of the country with good weather, reasonably priced accommodation and places to eat, good night life, reasonably safe... oh and pretty girls lol.
When it comes to places in America we know very little and don’t wanna end up in a place that’s not safe for tourists to go out at night or somewhere that is so expensive the only places we can afford to eat at aren’t very clean lol
So any suggestions would be very much appreciated. :alcoholic:

I would go to New York City and stay in Midtown. :)

East coast, safe, relatively inexpensive, good nightlife, good looking women?

Anywhere on the shore between Virginia and Florida.

I was thinking of suggesting Florida, but depending on what city, it can get sorta rough. Tampa and the Ybor City area is pretty cool.

:withstupi: I'd honestly look at either Daytona or Miami Beach if you're looking at Florida. I lived in Miami Beach for a year and you can find some decently priced places if you look hard enough. I've heard Daytona is nice, but I've never been.

Depending on your age, come during college spring break (march). I know it is not summer or autumn, but with an accent you will clean up the women no matter what you look like.

If not, I would say Jersey Shores, in the summer NYC is dead somewhat. Miami Sout Beach, relatively safe. Boston, no beach, but lots of fun.

I stayed on Miami Beach for a week and it was a great time. Not the cheapest place, but the temperature was nice, the women hot, and always felt safe even walking around after dark... sometimes just to walk through the best hotels on the beach.

I'd stay away from Daytona, all the years of spring breaks has trashed the place. But keeping with the Florida theme, I would check out, Miami, Ft Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Tampa, all nice.

Myrtle Beach in SC is a pretty hopping spot during the summer time...can't say I would recommend it in March though

Thanks for the suggestions.
Gonna look into Boston, Charleston, Tampa and maybe a few others... see what kinda prices i can get for hotels.

aw man i would love to go to spring break... we have nothing like it here in the UK. Won't have enough money by march but next year i wanna go. It'll be 1 of my top priorities lol

If you decide to visit the West Coast at all then let us know too. It doesn't sound like you're going to but my personal experience with the East Coast is incredibly limited.

Either way I hope you enjoy your stay when you do come and you should be delighted to know that the Irish have a decent reputation in American culture. It's something you don't usually think much about but there are always racist and class/status-related undertones when it comes to foreigners developing relationships with Americans. It's especially amplified with romantic interests too.
