Been dieting for about 7 weeks now, losing about 13 lbs. but the loss seems to have stagnated. I'm afraid to go any lower on the daily calories. (maint. prior was 3,800 daily)

I was using a 40/20/40 ratio (p/f/c) and was considering changing to a 40/40/20 ratio to continue with the last bit of fat loss.

Anyone have any experience with these ratios ? Comments/suggestions welcome.

Current:

Calories: 2,500
Protein: 250g
Fats: 111g
Carb: 125g

Stats:

Beg. Weight: 218
Current Weight: 205

I'm just curious as to how your lifting and strength are going because it seems you've dropped calories a good deal below maintenance. Have you lost a lot of muscle?

Strength upto this week was consistent, continued to make gains in either weight or reps. each week.

I switched to the 40/40/20 ratio and definitely felt a difference in Mondays workout. I did the same weight as last week, but could not get the reps. as before.

I was surprised by the drop-off, but then decreasing one's carbs by 50% in a couple of days will deplete an already low condition. I suppose I really should have expected the drop-off.

Incidentally, I have noticed a bit more room around the waist and this is the target area, so I'm guessing this ratio will work for my purpose.

Not any fun, though. The upcoming weeks will be a challenge.

As far as muscle, I woud assume I've lost some, but it doesn't seem excessive.
