LOL, d00d you need to keep your body hydrated...

are you mixing your creatine with 2 litres of water? or are you drinking 2litres thorughout the day?

The thing is creatine makes me feel like im dehydrated so i just drink to my hearts content....i'd say drink alot of water and who cares about the minor inconvience of going to the toilet. H20 is great man, it's a great hydrator, great boost for the metabolism and diaretic (lol)...not getting enough of it could lead to headaches and other nasties...so my advice is to chug it down and enjoy it :)...

Just drink, pee, drink, pee, et cetera, et cetera, ad nauseum, quid pro quo, and veni vidi vici.

Why should you ever drink water then? All you're gonna do is piss it out.

It's kind of like saying: "Why bother eating all this food if I'm going to crap it out? Can't I just have a packet of crisps".

No. "Water poisoning" only happens if you're an idiot.

Based on his other posts though, maybe the OP is in trouble then.

There's more than water coming out when you pee. Not to mention your kidney's don't particularly operating under "dry" conditions so to speak. Even if you are peeing the water still has it's uses.

does water have anything to do with you gaining weight though?

Not of any real consequence. You might bloat up but that doesn't really count.

1 gallon of water per day is a pretty standard protocol that seems to work well for most athletes.

Of course you could. Just like you could die if you don't drink enough water when you're not taking creatine.

I find that when I drink a lot of water I just pee more when I do go to the toilet rather than feeling the need to go to the toilet more frequently.

I drink maybe 2-3 litres a day of water depending on how much milk I'm drinking. If I'm going through a gallon of milk a day phase then I tend to drink a lot less water because its just unnecessary when I'm already hydrated.

I have a feeling that more experience you have of exercising hard and getting to know your body, the less you need to care about strict amounts - you just know when to drink water and just know whether you're hydrated enough/too much whatever. It gets pretty natural.

I think the tendency would be towards the opposite. When drinking large amounts of water (when not using creatine) on a regular basis, the body tends to shed water, or so I've been told.

This is correct. Years ago I found out my water retention was pretty high because I wasn't drinking enough. Seems counter-intuitive but its true. This is conjectured to be one of the reasons why you need to pee all the time once you start drinking significantly more than usual but stop feeling the need once you're used to the new intake - you're pissing out the retained water.

sounds like OP is a total noob. I drink up to 2 gallons a day, granted I piss like a horse 10 times a day or better

I was talking about water retention while taking creatine. Guess that wasn't real clear.

When I have to pee every 15 minutes, I know I've taken too much.
