I've been working out for about a year an a half and Im really getting into PL Right now Im working on bring my weight down to 240lbs and would like to give a meet a try sometime after wards. Ive been thinking about trying out a shirt and seeing how I do with it. I was wondering should I just get one and take it fro there or should I weight till Im at 240lbs then get one. Right now Im at 271lbs with my stats being Bench 365lbs Squat 455lbs Dead 457lbs. Also how do you know when you should start using wrist wraps for your bench?

Hey you are there close to Albany right? have you been to Albany Strength? they will guide you in the right direction with your training if you wanna go with equipment. For wrist wraps I think is personal preference... I use them on anything over 60-70% of my max. If i was you I would wait till you go down in weight but if the funds allow it get in one now and start getting used to working out with one, and as you go down in weight just keep buying new ones! LOL! but seriously I think I will wait. right now I am waiting to get back up in weight to start with equipment again.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I been to Albany Strength but I can not work out there right now due to my schedule. I stay home durng the day with my daughter and work 5pm-1am. Right now I work out at Golds Gym because they have daycare. Once my daughter starts school in another year or so I will have more time to get to work out at Albany S. or some other day time PL Gym.
