When doing floor presses or 4 board presses where should your grip be? Pinkie on the ring? Index on smooth? or Thumblength from smooth?

My thoughts are your grip should be based on your weakness. If your tris are weak, then go with narrower grips. If you're weak in the middle, then closer to a comp grip. If you're weak off the chest then a wide grip. You'd probably need less than a 4-bd to work middle or lower though.

varying your grips would be beneficial as it hits slightly different areas. I use comp grip mostly on 4 brds and FP, if I do close grip stuff it would be on a 5 brd..

On floor presses I usually have my pinkie on the ring or sometimes closer. My grip is sometimes the same on my board presses as well. I usually don't use my comp grip unless I'm in a BS. I just don't feel comfortable.

I agree. Use all the grips. I've found comp grip good for testing my floor press and closer grip floor press usually helps it go up

I use comp grip for everything unless I'm specifically doing close grips.
