View Full Version : Stretches for powercleans/front squats

What are some good stretches for developing the "rack" position for front squats/power cleans? A few of the guys I train aren't flexible enough to raise their elbows to parallel for power cleans and front squats, and I was pretty lost on where/what to tell them to stretch. I assume its either tight lats or triceps or something.

Lots of wrist stretching in both directions. Load a bar on a rack, lightly grip with one hand, then try to push the elbow through toward the ceiling.
And make sure they're raising their chest by arching the upper back.

Solid, concise advice as usual sensei. I'll have them try moving their hands out+thumb wraping some, along with one arm at a time stretching.
