We don't brag about it, but Chuck is one of our sponsored lifters and has used Nitrean, RESULTS, Fish Oil, and Thermocin for years.

The lift was great and I am very happy for Chuck. He is a good guy.

Seen the vid already on PLwatch but...Thats just ridiculous how wide and deep and the way he came out of the hole! First time I see a Leviathan with a black dyed bottom too.

Chuck is an animal! Strong ass lift! What were his bench and pull?

I'm not sure what else he did. I know he has been nursing an injury, so he may have done only token lifts.

He hit a 590 bench opener, missed 640 (I think) twice. He said his lockout takes a hit when he drops this much weight. He didn't pull due to lingering rib issue.

Well, he did compete as a 242...
Have you seen his 1100 squat vids as a 275? I don't know how he did it...

The guy keeps doing it meet after meet, at over 40 years old. You never hear him complain or whine, he just keeps hitting big numbers over and over. A great deadlifter as well, one of the VERY few to do big numbers both style. He and Coan are pretty much the only lifters of late that I can think of that pulled 800 both ways, heck there are only a few that can hit even 700both styles officially! I am certain he could hit a 1200 at a full 275, combine that with a 800 plus pull and that is 2000 without even benching. I bet Byrd will be training to get that record back! Start eating Sam lol!!

Chuck is the man but better keep an eye on Jeremy Frey. Definately the next big thing Squat over a grand and both is bench and pull are over 800 at a light 275.

Congrats to Chuck on the new record. He looked thick as a tick in that video! I would say ild go after his 1150 at 275... but ill never eat my way to a full 242 so i guess he is safe from my retaliation. haha But im a whopping 221 right now so that 242 record may not stand very long ;o) Summer coming up and i finally get to train hard again!

On any other website, this would be odd.

Sounds good Sam, I'll let Chuck know that he shouldn't change his own signature just yet ;)

Sounds good. I got into following powerlifting right about the time Chuck hit 1025 at 220. My first goal was to best his squat, and it took me about six years to do it, so chasing his numbers is familiar territory for me. Only met him once so dont really know him, but tell him i said hey and congrats.

I'm just bustin' your balls Sam, like any good powerlifter I'm sure Chuck wants some new numbers to chase.
