Either Im not pushing myself when doing raw squats or is it possible to get 70lbs from wearing a loose centurion bottom??? I just did 585 today and it felt better than a 515 raw I did like 10 days ago? the only thing I noticed is that I get a good stop from the suit just below parallel. And this is a suit i can get my legs into and all set in like 2 minutes. I just weighted 199 this morning and I only got about 110lbs out of this suit when I was 216-218 and I needed help to get the suit on and the straps up.

It's very possible to get 70 lbs out of a centurion straps down. I think it's as much of a confidence thing where gear makes you feel safer and tighter. Also, strength definitely varies day to day.

I use Titan products and I agree with Marcus.
My favorite Centurion is one that fits me like a loose set of coveralls and I get fantastic support out of it. Sounds like the suit you have is working well with your squat style/strength level.

Well I guess I will be starting all my training Monday with the loose gear and in 8 weeks I will start getting new tight stuff. Cant wait to get myself into a tight squat suit! and shirt.

Just don't go to tight, cause then you have problems getting depth or touching.

I got a 42 Centurion NXG+ so I was thinking a 40 would be OK? Its old (got it in 04)but it gets washed with powerwash after every use so it looks and feels like a brand new suit still, well I only used the thing 4 times before a meet in 04 and just this past week and today. And i know what you are saying about being to tight..hehe I bombed with 615 because i had it set a lil different than in training and it was stoping me just a bit higher than parallel(a side judge told me like an inch) then I tried 655 for a last one and it was still stopping me at the same spot.

Have you tried sewing the straps or the seams at the hips yet? You can make an old suit feel like a newer, tighter suit with a couple of $4 alterations. Just tryin' to save a brother some jack...:smoke:

The difference of an old nxg+ and a new super centurion is huge. The super centurion is 2 plies through the whole harness.

I was thinking about doing the straps since there is tons of sewing places here next to the Army base and I know of 2 that can do sewing on canvas materials so more likely they will do any thick material.

Well the difference in measurements from when i got it to now are almost 2" less in the legs, 1 less in the hips, 3" less in the belly. you think all that affected the straps not staying up too? (my traps are just like they where before) I also noticed something today, with my legs pumped from squatting prior to putting the suit on I had to pull on the legs harder than the other day when i did DL's and i got "bite" marks on the inside of my legs and just under my hip bones. hmm??? I was around 20% BF when I was 218-220 ...now im around 14% at around 200. I might try to get my legs bigger and get into more cardio and stay at 198 and see how it goes...yeah i think i wash the thing too much too..hehe i just hate to leave it full of chalk and sweat.

Yeah, I wash the suit and knee wraps, powerwash does help the wraps stay like new. I wash the wraps maybe every 6 weeks?. A little strange but the Inzer wraps benefit more from the titan powerwash than the Titan wraps. I leave them soaking in the washer for 10 -15 min with warm water and powerwash then i close the lid so they get washed (4 min. normal cycle).
