View Full Version : Eating Bone Marrow

I just had some bone marrow today, and it's not bad as long as it's cooked. Has anyone else tried this and does it really have any nutritional value? Looking at nutritiondata it seems to have a lot of healthy fats: http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/ethnic-foods/8088/1

I suck some marrow out of chicken legs once in awhile. It tastes good. I think there are probably lots of minerals and vitamins in them, but thats just a hunch.

I only eat the marrow from fresh babies, because I swallow them whole. Just like Kronos (father of Zeus).

My grandmother makes this rice with chicken and slow cooks it for a very very long time. The check bones get so soft you can eat them without much chewing. I don't see the problem with it. Tastes decent too lol

pardon me for sounding ignorant but what is the bone marrow? yesterday i got kfc and i tried to suck out the marrow and i couldnt suck anything out, i didnt even think it would be possible to chew through the actual bones though. is the marrow always going to be the whole bones.
