View Full Version : Anyone else notice that tuna went way up in price?

I don't know how recent this happened, I usually buy my tuna in bulk from costco, but I ran out and went to the store today to pick up a few cans in addition to other things. I'm seeing tuna at $1.20 a can and upwards?
I remember buying the stuff last year at $.65 a can or maybe even a little less.
Overfishing sucks :(

indeed, the increasing popularity of tuna as gourmet level food will undoubtedly lead to more of this.

Still $0.99 here, sometimes it drops to 0.79 but not often.

Merc - Tuna is on sale at Cub right now.......79 cents a can..........1.18 for the Gourmet Select kind.......(which I decided to try).......

Maybe I am wrong, but I could have sworn that a can of tuna was like $0.25 a few years ago. Now it is about $0.75 when it is on sale.
