Hi, I currently use NO Shotgun and I want to start cycling it with some other stim because even after only a couple of weeks the effects of the Shotgun aren't as powerful as they were when I started using it. I would go for NO Xplode based on good reviews I've read of it but unfortunately my supp shop doesn't stock it. In fact I heard from a mate that nobody in Ireland sells it, but I could be mistaken. Anyway the other stim my supp guy recommended to try other than NO Shotgun was this Olimp Creafusion Massacra stuff. (I tried to link to it but I'm not allowed to put links in my posts yet!!)

Anyway I was just wondering if anybody has tried it? If so, is it any good? How does it match up to Shotgun or Xplode or any of the other big names? I'm not sure what other brands he has in the shop but he did tell me that the Shotgun was the strongest he had and that this stuff would be the second strongest so if I'm going to do some sort of cycling I would pretty much have to go for this, unless I ordered some Xplode online or something.

Cheers! :strong:

PS: Nice forum you got here!

If the name of the product is anything other than the ingredients, you are paying for marketing. The more EXTREME!!!!111 the name sounds, the more you are getting ripped off. I'm familiar with NO Shotgun, have taken NO Explode (worthless), and can tell you that none of these products are worth the price.

Buy some bulk creatine monohydrate and some bulk caffeine and you'll be set.

I agree with this.

If you are looking for something for strength gains look for a quality creatine / beta-alanine mixture. Fast carbohydrates like dextrose or fructose will give you a quick boost, and some people like WMS for during-workout drinks as well. For stims you can go with caffeine. If you are interested in a "pump" then some AKG and yohimbe will give you that effect.

Unfortunately many of the pre-workout drinks are simply based on hype and you are only feeling the effects of the caffeine. In many cases a simple cup of coffee would be equally as effective (especially considering that many of these pre-workout "pump" products are known to cause stomach discomfort).

I see, so the general consensus is that most of these pre-wo products are pretty much a gimmick? Is the feeling the same generally for NO Shotgun and NO Xplode? I ask because I've read lots of reviews of those products on other boards and a lot of them seem to say that they really work! I presume it's probably a convenience thing as well to be able to get a nice hit of caffeine, glucose and creatine all in one product? PS i already supp with creatine mono as well

I tried NO Explode just for the hey of it about a year ago. I would take it at 2:30 and at 3:00 on the dot I would poop my brains out. It was like clockwork. Didn't take it for too long.

It's called the placebo effect.

Taking caffeine, glucose, and creatine WILL improve your gym performance. Caffeine and sugar will give you an immediate boost, creatine takes a few weeks of consistent dosing.

I'm not exactly saying that these products don't do anything, but popping a NO-Doz and drinking a powdered gatorade/creatine mono mixture will give you the exact same result, at a fraction of the price. These products are successful because beginners see claims of gain 10 pounds of muscle in a week!!! and think that that is a reasonable goal to be acheived by using these products. It isn't. Many people are looking for the quickest way to get jacked, but it isn't that easy. It takes years of dedication and hard training, and throwing away money on expensive supplements isn't going to get you there any quicker. You're just making supplement company owners rich.

The supplement store that sponsors this site ( www.atlargenutrition.com ), is better than most. Their products aren't the cheapest, but are still competitively priced, and the owners stand by their products and even come onto the forum and answer people's questions.
