Hey guys, i just found some Halodrol at my local GNC normally i wouldnt buy anything there... all that strange marketing and steroid sounding names and packaging sets off a lotta red lights in my head. They seem to spend more on packaging and marketing then they do on the product.
Anyways i came across Halodrol, package looked simple enough and the price was marked from $80 to $20 which are two things that got my attention. It was marked down because it expires in June/09. I bought one pack and man, ive been dragging ass lately cant tell what my problem is but that stuff really amped me up. I mean really.. but i made the mistake of taking two Tribulus 250mg pills also after skipping a day of just taking one. So im not sure if it was entirely the Halodrol (let that be a lesson to only try one thing at a time when trying new things to see what has what effect on you)
Anyways my question is, can/should i stack up on the remaining 3 packages how would they be a few months past expiration date? Would storing them someplace for later use maybe in the freezer or a cool dark place work?
thanks for any help.

Pretty sure Halodrol is a pro-hormone.
OP, what is your knowledge/experience with pro-hormones?

here is a misleading advertisement for halodrol from bb.com. their "anecdotal study" suggests you will gain 8lbs of muscle and cut 2-4% bf. i like how no one will say what the ingredients are. halodrol liquigels are not prohormones.. halodrol-50 is a prohormone but i think it was discontinued.

That ad was almost awesome enough to make me want to buy some of that stuff :)
The inuendo in the tag line is absolutely priceless.

yeah, im really upset about BB they are extremely untrustworthy those forums look like objective views but after reading more into its plugs from the company or paid reviews.
Anyways im 26 been lifting on and off for 10 years. Just got back into lifting now for hte past 6 months. Making really really slow gains and feel constantly tired. Have a very clean diet and workout routine. I was making great gains 5 years ago on just coffee and protein powder, working long 8 hour days lifting heavy stuff all day long now im way more sedentary and the gains are just so slow coming.
When i took that one Halodrol and two tribulus i felt so wired it was unbelievable.
I was heavily researching prohormones about 7 years ago when the Andro and Nor-Andros were out. I was planning on doing a Nor-Diol cycle but never got around to it.. probably better off because i was around 20 then. But all this new stuff the 17-methy-ami-methadone 18- diol stuff really throws me off. Is it really a pro-hormone? 20-Hydroxy ecdysterone is whats in Halodrol.
It all seems fake to me and hte people on BB.com talking about using Post Cycle Therapy products like theyre doing a real steroid cycle by using products called Nolvedex which is made to sound like Nolva seems really fake to me. Seems like the manufactures came up with it because it makes their pro-hormones (whatever they are) seem so strong they shut down your own test production and it helps them sell another product when youre done.
Im doing research on google and its so hard to find out legit non-biased info on all this stuff out there. So many reviews touting this stufflike Superdrol, Armitest (something like that) Probolan, 17-HD and all that stuff but the reviews and even the forum post seems like theyre bias... made by the manufacturers or people paid by them. I just recently found out hteir are paid locked forums on bb.com so the advertisers can type what they want.
A lot of this just seems like stuff to drag in teenagers, theirs a section on BB to show off the products you own in pics. Ive seen a LOT of pics of people 16-20 years old with 10+ bottles of products. Like isaid before i made the biggest gains in a 6 month period when i was 20 just hitting the gym first thing in the morning on only a cup of coffee buying a post workout drink and taking a chicken breast to work with me. I drank a ton of coffee throughout the day (i was known for making Jet fuel at work) I worked a very hard day 10am to 7-10pm) lifting tvs and stacking trucks this seemed to get the blood flowing all day and also built up those extra muscles that working out just doesnt hit. I focused very little on my workout after the gym, didnt count calories just ate healthy and i could barely remember the numbers iwas lifting or how much i went up. I do know i started in February with a 135bench and by May/june i was up to 215-225 (reps).
But im just so tired now throughout the day and the gains are coming so damn slow its frustrating. Its the reason im looking for something in this sea of overhyped GNC bs.
Sory for my long somewhat hypocritical diatribe. I really appreciate the fast responses.
personally, i think you will see your best results with any combination of two factors: (1) spot on diet and dedicated lifting (2) anabolic cycle
ive always wanted to try anabolics but i dont want to risk losing my hair nor do i have my natural frame even close to maxed out nor do i want liver/health problems from sides. I'm sure others who are more knowledgeable than me will chime in

Were the Halodrol you bought in softgel form and say Liqui-gels somewhere on the box? I'm assuming that is what you have since GNC had it and very few if any GNC's carry PH's(legal steroids) due to possible lawsuits. In addition, the real Halodrol was discontinued over 3 years ago, so all of them would have been expired long time ago.
If you have teh Liqui-gels then what you have is Arachadonic Acid. I have seen some benefits from AA, and it will work better when supplemented with something like Tribulus or even a real PH.

my diet is very clean, perhaps to clean. Im a person who likes routine so i pretty much have the same thing every day or a close variation.
I start with two cups of half caff coffee then soon after i take a 2 serving container of greek yogurt usually Chobani (1 serving 140 calories/22g protein/ about 7-9g carbs) a half apple/half banana/handful of blueberries chopped and mixed in and usually a small scoop of walnuts. I eat most at breakfast and a little more at noon. Then its a cup or two of full caff coffee and i hit the gym a half hour later at around 1-2pm.
I hate spending $5 on a post workout drink so instead i take a little bottle mix in apple juice and whey protein and down that when i get in my car. Add a little ice to keep it cold. Then when i get home mix a protein shake apple juice (low carb if its not post workout) banana, whey protein, and a little sugar free jello to thicken it up. A carrot and blueberries if its not post workout too. Then a chicken breast or hard boiled eggs an hour or two later and something similar for dinner usually a chicken breast and spinach salad.

I generally just stay in the powerliftnig area, but this thread caught my eye. You have discovered the two great secrets of the supplement industry----its all about the dollar, with little concern about the actual products, and its almost all geared at stupid teenagers and young 20 somethings.
I'll pretty much guarantee that anything you buy at GNC that promises "steroid like gains" is pure bull****. The marketing people for these supplements take full advantage of the placebo effect and the vanity of the people buying the products.
Now don't get me wrong, there are some things out there that work, and seem to work well, but the majority of them you won't find on the shelf for sale at GNC. Most of it is useless. Think about it, taking a 3 gram dried, processed, proprietary blend of a weed from South East Asia that in whole form takes 500 grams of the fresh plant taken 3 times a day to have an effect is NOT going to increase your performance. The real sad thing is that overloading the body with precursor hormones does NOT lead to increased end product, it causes the body to shut down the natural production of what should be there. Its not going to raise testosterone levels to supraphsyiological levels.
Anyway, enough soapbox. I'm just glad you've seen the light.
Have you considered going to the doctor for a physical exam and checkup? There may be problems deeper than what you are seeing on the surface that you need to address.

Yeah i had a test level check and the doc said the levels were normal. I live in Mass, work under the table and am on Mass Health cant really ask for too much when i get free health care. But i couldnt help but feel tired all the time yet i could only get 5-6 hours a sleep a night that was interrupted constantly.
Im definetly not looking for steroid like gains, not even 1/4 of steroid like gains. I just want something that works even somewhat like its advertised, and hopefully that something that worked on word of mouth and not hype/packaging. Id like to get rid of this dragging ass feeling i only seem to get rid of it slightly while at the gym and the rest of the day i feel like crap. But i have to say since popping that Halodrol yesterday i felt strange/great/wired for a few hours after working out. Same deal today. I think im going to make a 30-day cycle out of it combined with a bottle of Tribulus and DHEA i stopped taking. The Halodrol says to take one pill 1-3times a day. Im just going to do one pre-workout and pop 2 tribulus with it. The DHEA is time released i popped one at 7pm and i just feel a little better for some reason, i cant tell if its placebo or this stuff is causing something to elevate within me causing me to feel better.
im very wary of anything at GNC. And the guys there are just useless.. one guy recommends some $80 product to me thats packaged like a prescription i think it was Arimatest. i ask "if i buy it and go home look it up and find out its garbage can i return it?" he said i'd be better off looking it up first (although i am allowed to do return) which means i would probably be returning. Sure enough i look it up and tons of crap reviews.

Did they check your thyroid too? Hypothyroidism has the symptoms you are experiencing.
Also have you ever been checked for sleep apnea? That could be a huge factor.
Finally, I did my internsip running on about 2-5 hours a night for weeks on end. You are not going to make decent gains with that little of an amount of sleep---especially if its being interrupted all the time. That may be the root of your problems.

that sucks... thanks for respondingon that, i think it is a big problem. im not sure what my problem is. Ive never had sleep apnea before i cant imagine why i would have trouble breathing at night. And if i pop a seroquel or something similar i sleep all the way through but i hate relying on those pills. Also it didnt happen at all until i quit smoking and started woring out, but that was about 5 months ago and after the initial sleepless nights early on i had good sleeping until a few months ago... i dont know what my problem is.
