View Full Version : Question about the week prior to a meet?

When do you stop training? I'm have a BP/DL meet on Sat. I worked up to my DL opener on Thurs and BP opener on Fri. I did some light rack pulls on Mon & some Box squats and I done with that but do you think I should go to my BP opener today or just wait till Sat? I leaning toward waiting for the meet. I'm comfortable with the shirt I have used in at least onece a week for the last few so that won't be an issue. Just seeing what you guys do.

I like to take a week off, so I wouldn't do anything else if I were you.

We've actually beat this subject in the ground, do a search and you'll probably find some good stuff

If the meet is on Sat I normally would do a light work out on monday and tuesday just to keep the blood flowing. I felt like a slug if I took the whole week off

I'll usually do some type of light full body workout on Wednesday.
