View Full Version : Creatine in during workout drink?

Hey guys, ive seen a lot mentioned about taking 5grams of creatine pre-workout and taking 5 post workout but would throwing a tsp of creatine in my gatorade (or some similar drink maybe something not as acidy) right before i start working out be any good?
Always wondered this... actually tried it the other day but didnt really notice anything but i wouldnt really expect to.

It's not really going to make a difference. When I lift after work I start drinking mine during my warm up.

you dont take 5g before and after it doesn't work like that. your body tops will only absorb a certain ammount and unless you are HUGE or sumthing there is no way your body will take in the 10-15g your wanting to take.
take a 5g of creatien mono. every day at about the same time. as for what you mix in gator-aid,vitamin water,grape juice most people just pick thier personal favorite i think.

yeah i just remember reading that in a few routines,advice columns about taking 5 pre and/or 5 post. I usually just take 5g post (or a tsp)

Not sure if the pre/post workout creatine time debate will ever be resolved. I take mine in morning, pre, post, and before bed when loading and then I do 5g/day after workout with juice. I like the taste of the grape juice and it enhances absorption of creatine (rapid response)
