View Full Version : UD2.0 finale

05-24-2009, 04:21 PM
I'm running UD2.0 starting tomorrow. going to start filling in details as to the diet on individual days. I'll be doing the standard workouts in the diet except the power workout will have a few substitutes. Mon-Wed I am consuming 1500 cals setup in the following manner:

50-60g carbs
200g protein
50-55g fat

I'm working on setting up daily specifics now.

So.. my checklist of stuff to get tomorrow:

fiber supplement

I have the day off tomorrow so I'm going to plan out Thursday and the carb load then. I found a few old threads and my carb load foods will be:

home made french fries (oven made, chopped from potatoes)
whole wheat bagels (with strawberry jelly on Thursday PM only)
brown rice
whole wheat pasta

I will be shooting for about 1100-1150g of carbs from 7pm thursday - friday. I ordered a bunch of novus bars and some nitrean along with backup supplies of dextrose. I ordered last week so they should be here by thursday. Going to worry about Sat/Sun once it gets a little closer. if anyone has some suggestion foods, they are highly appreciated. this is my first UD2.0 run and I want it to be highly successful.

5/25/09 - depletion

leg press 180x15x3
leg curl 90x15x3
bench 135x15x3
bb row 115x15x3
lat raise 15sx15x3
calf press somethingx15x3
bicep curl 25x15x3
cable pressdown somethingx15x3

this workout x 2

Legs aren't as fatigued as i thought they would -- I need to hit them hard tomorrow to make sure i'm depleted. i feel a little nauseated and pretty light headed/loopy. I gagged a little bit after bench and lat raises of all things. UD2.0 is no joke

Holy carb load batman! Way to stay on top of it man! How do you like his WO?

Ok i think I overdid it on the carbs on friday unfortunately. i bloated due to either the carbs I took in or the creatine loading (very likely, i tend to retain water). also I didnt "count" maltitol or fiber toward my carb count which contributes to roughly 120g of carbs. so that might have been a mistake also. power workout was very good. it was fun being in the 6 rep range again. i am not very pleased with results of week 1 thus far. tomorrow might be a different story once the bloat goes away. either way.. target today is ~320g of carbs, no more than 50g fat, and 190g protein

actually the workout structure and eating isn't bad at all. the friday eating is fantastic. like i said above, i think I overdid it by not counting "net carb" items such as fiber and maltitol, etc, which added an additional 500ish cals over my target.

i get crazy pumps from the depletion workouts... i need to make sure i'm maintaining my time under tension next week though. this has been a decent learning experience and I will apply what i've learned this week (hopefully)

Good deal. Ive read UD2 and some of his other stuff but have never done anything that extreme.

Do you have trouble getting all those carbs down after consuming so few beforehand?
