View Full Version : Cut to 205 w/o losing too much muscle

I need help adjusting my current diet. Do I need to make any changes? I am 6' 2" at 220 at 15% body fat. I am trying to take in around 2800 cal/day at 250g/protein, 250g/carbs, 100g/fat. I know that I need to be around 2800 cal based on my experience, but how are those macros? Thanks guys...

Current Diet:

Meal 1-
2 eggs, 2 egg whites
8 oz milk, 1 cup oats, 1 cup blueberries, 1 scoop protein powder

Meal 2-
6 oz Talapia

Meal 3-
6 oz Chicken
Beans or Rice

Meal 4-
Handful of Almonds

Meal 5-
Tortilla Wrap
Peanut Butter

Meal 6-
1 scoop of Wazy Maize
s scoops Protein Powder
8 oz Milk

Meal 7-
8 oz. Talapia
Brocolli or greens

Meal 8-
1/2 cup of cottage cheese
1/2 scoop protein powder

I am not asking how to count calories or what my macros are. I have already broke those down in my current meals. I was asking if those macros and diet were correct for my goals and size.

Just track your losses. 1-2lbs a wk is ideal. If your losing more, slow down and up the calories a bit, and vice versa. Although, I know me personally, to lose any kind of weight, my carbs have to be a good bit lower than that. Not saying you will, but just experiment for what works best for you. Keeping protein high will help in retaining your hard earned muscle 250g @ 220 is about bare minimum. You might want to try upping it a bit. Your fat is pretty decent, and fill the remaining calories with carbs. Nutrient timing is key.
