Not that you can really critique much from the angle, but here is the last set of my workout where I decided to try 400 for the first time. My back is a bit tweaked from deadlifts and I got excited for the last rep so that's why it's a little crazy. If my back was 100% I would have been able to get even more reps, I'm pretty psyched. Even more so considering my 1RM was 370 a few months ago.

Thanks guys, I'm kind of mad about how the last rep went after the others being so easy, stupid knotted up back. I'm going for 410x5 next week. I remember not long ago thinking 225 was too heavy and that there was no way I'd get a workout done with it. In fact, there was a time where I did one set and walked out because it felt too heavy. Now it's my warm up weight :)

Yep, thats what weight gain will do to ya. Weights that used to be heavy, are now warmups. Time to update your sig

Nice squatting man

Yeah, all my numbers are way outdated. One of these days I'll do max efforts and update the sig.

nice job 400 is a good amount of weight iwish i could do thatis.. i know ill get flamed for saying this but they looked rpetty high . are yo usure youre hitting depth?

High? You kidding? They are below parallel. The video angle is trash, you can't see much.

This is an old capture from when 370 was my 1RM, this is how low I go.

Nice squats man, but after looking at the pic I think there is quite a bit we can change about ur stance that will make u much stronger in a short amount of time. If u want me to go on I will, but if u dont and u like ur squats and feel comfortable with them then its none of mu business.

Again great job though! 400 x 5 aint no joke

Great work! You looked like you might have been able to go for 10 if your back was fresh! Awesome.

That's what I was thinking too... In the back of my mind I'm thinking of shooting for 410x10 next week :evillaugh:

We'll see. I know I'll get at least 5 with 410, just depends on how I'm feeling. I'm a stubborn bastard.

Thanks for the comments.

Wild Bill, you can go ahead and suggest some changes for my stance, but I'm not really fond of a hugely wide stance if that's what you're going to recommend me... Either way though, feel free, I don't mind.

I can't tell if you are just bored and want some attention, or if you are serious with your comments. Even IF he was high, you can't tell from the video. Considering what you can see, they look plenty deep to me. If anything, he could take some off and be fine. For someone with awful form as yourself, you should really just stop critiquing anyone else.

Berfles, wasn't that long ago you were complaining about gaining weight. It's awesome to see guys really work and improve the way you have. Great job.

Here's a bad comparison from when I first started vs tonight. Rack got in the way and I used my P&S instead of my DSLR but it's not that bad.

awesome squatting man. How long have you been powerlifting for? And whats your target weight? 220Lbs at 5'10 is pretty huge haha.

I consider my actual start time when I got my rack setup, so that was October of 2007. I've been squatting for around a year because while I was working at a warehouse for 6 months I was constantly hurting my hips so I couldn't squat.

My target weight right now is 225-230, then I'll cut down to 210-215 or whatever it takes to look leaner, then start bulking again. It'd be cool to be a lean 230.

LOL thats what I was going to say haha. I would just be sure to drive through those heels and try to keep ur knees from going past ur toes. Oh and go REALLY WIDE lol.

Nice job man. Hey I see u live in PA. I will be there for 6 days in Julym u wouldnt happen to live in Erie would u?

Yeah great squat man. If i was to critique, looks like your not activating your glutes 100% on the way up? as your hips don't push thro, and your chest is a little low.

But your other still looks awesome.

Like you said 5th set after DL's just doing the weight is good enough :P

Awesome progress on the pics tho

Thanks guys. I may shoot for 410x10 this week just to see if I have it in me... I'll know once I get to the 5th rep how hard it will be.

great transformation and very nice lift

id agree with bill in that there are a few little things to change.

stance is a little narrow which may influence your knees shooting really far forward. i think if you can focus on staying back on your heels a little more you will feel stronger and much more stable. This also can stop some of the good morning like action when the weight gets heavy and you get on your toes a little bit.

also another little cue even if you dont change anything with your stance is to make sure you stay tight and keep your chest up because you lose that tightness and will lose some pop as well

best of luck man, and nice work!
