Hey.
When you microwave eggs does it change anything in the egg.
Does it keep the same protein amount and so on.

Thanx

Energy (heat) of any form denatures protein- it undoes its three-dimensional structure. That means any globular shape of the protein is undone- the protein more or less unfolds into a string. This is what stomach acid does as well. It's not until enzymes hit the protein that the protein is broken down into smaller peptide chains and individual amino acids. Microwaving won't hurt a thing. It will probably be lower in fat that way, because you won't be using butter or oil to keep the egg from sticking to the cookware.

You can make a piece of toast, smash the inside of the toast with a spoon to make a depression, and crack an egg into that depression. Microwave for 60-90 seconds and you'll have a poached egg on toast. Cook it too long and everything gets kinda rubbery.

What if you cook, then later to heat it up, microwave it?

it always hurts my stomach when i cook them in the microwave, i bought one of those micro-egg cookers. yeah it sucks, i just use no stick spray and cookem on a skillet and then remove the yokes, works best for me.

If you cut a hole in a piece of bread, and cook the egg inside that hole, wouldn't it be a poached egg in toast?

Not to mention, the fact that the bread would not be toasted, merely warmed up a bit.

Damn I'm an asshole.

i once put a cooked chicken breast that was wrapped in cling film in the micro when i didn`t want to eat it cold.

BBAAMMMMM the whole microwave was full of little pieces of chicken.

i just boil all my eggs, and eat them cold out of the fridge

Ha, I just blew up an egg in the microwave recently. Smelled horrible.

I'd recommend against it.
