They just finished up Day 1 at the APF Senior Nationals and Al Caslow won the battle of the 165's against Brian Schwab with a HUGE 2100 total at a bodyweight of 165lbs. I'm not exactly sure what his numbers were to get his total. Congrats to Al, and the rest of Big Iron Gym for having great success on Day One!!!!!

He Squated 871. Benched 540. Deadlifted 689.
He should hit a 900+ squat in the next year or so. Congrats again bud.

Wow! Congrats, that is huge. Is that a new 165 World Record? If not it's gotta be close.

Thanks for the quick post up about this.
It was a great meet, great judging, good competition and great lifts.
I always enjoy competition so heading into this one I was very excited about it having the chance to go toe to toe against Brian Schwab.

Despite not hitting any personal records on single lifts, I was able to hit some numbers close to my top weights so putting them all together did return a PR total with 2100 even.

Im looking forward to the pro/am and have a chance to share the platform with some of the best lifters in multiply right now. Hope everyone's training is going well and good luck to anyone competing here soon.
