View Full Version : Squat PR tonight
06-15-2009, 09:48 PM
Tonight I got a squat PR, I squatted 525. It sucks that I forgot to start the video camera, but my lifting partners saw it, lol. Anyway, the last time I tested my max about 2 months ago, I squatted 505, for a PR back then. 20 pounds in about 2 months, I'm happy.
Hopefully if things continue to go like this I'll be totaling 1500+ at my next full meet. I know that's nothing compared to some here, but considering I just started deadlifting about a year ago, and squatting just over a year ago, and before last summer I hardly ever benched more than 225 ( I probably could have, I just never did ).

Great job, a 1500 will be a real accomplishment. That is a lifetime goal for me. To hit it in your 40s, when you only just started powerlifting semi-recently, will be very impressive.

Great progress BTO! You're not the 1st lifter to get so jacked up on a big PR that you forget about the camera if you're filming. I've done it more than once! You'll hit a bigger one to film soon I'm sure. Keep it up!
