I have always had high metabolism so it has always been a little tougher for me to gain weight. That and I am 6'5" and have been skinny my whole life. My freshman year in college I was only 175 pounds. Now a few years later I PR'ed my weight today at 224 pounds.
Anyway, I decided to bulk after my GF made subtle hits that I looked like I had lost some muscle. I most likely did because my bench and some other lifts declined a bit. So I outlined a plan for myself and it is as follows.
*Caution this is definitely *NOT* clean eating and it is just to get the most calories in my system for the cheapest price*
8:00 AM - wake up: 16 OZ milk + 1 scoop nitrean (400 cal/40G protein)
9:30 AM - Breakfast: 2 BE&C biscuits from MCD's (844 cal/30g Protein)
11:30 AM: 16 OZ milk + 1 scoop nitrean (400 cal/40G protein)
1:30PM: 3 dollar menu sandwiches Wendys(1080 cal/45g protein)
3:30PM: PB&J sandwich(500 cal/30g protein)
6:30PM before gym: maybe a scoop or two of peanut butter (200 cals/? protein)
9:00PM: 16 OZ milk + 1 scoop nitrean (400 cal/40G protein)
10:30PM: 2 pieces of chicken and some pasta (500 calories/46g protein)
Total is between 4300-4500 calories and between 250-260g protein
I started this a little over a week ago and I went from 219 pounds to 224 pounds. Granted I would imagine some of that is water weight/fat weight but I literally did not gain or lose one pound in 8 months before this so its nice seeing the scale actually move.
Its a relatively cheap bulk and I will do it until I can maintain a steady 230 pounds thats not water weight...then take a month or two off and then do it again to 240.
Also, Nitrean tastes AMAZING with milk.
