View Full Version : Reverse Band Deadlift

First time doing reverse band deadlifts (green bands). Thought it was awesome, really helped me with my speed off the floor and blasting through my sticking point (lockout). Worked my way up to a single of 6 plates (585lbs). My bro (roots) filmed and my buddy Dan (danmac) helped with the motivation:

Any comments on the band setup? In the vid its set up at about ear height. Also I did this at a different gym because my current gym doesn't have a power rack. I'm still trying to figure out a way to do them without a power rack (squat rack or smith machine?). Any thoughts/ideas?

The setup looked fine from what I could see. You can set the bands at any height you want so that is not really an issue, just remember the higher they are set the more help they will give. I believe it is recommended to set them around 5'4" or so.

It is tough to see because of the way your buddy videoed the DL, but it looks like you pulled that with all back.
