After seeing Konstantinovs doing his pulls against the bands made me really want a different platform than what I am currently using. Does anyone here have exact specs or ideas on building or constructing a band platform that accomodates the sumo and conv puller? The DB method doesn't work in our gym here in vegas as our DB's are not hex head, they roll and we cannot seem to get that method perfected. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Flat steel wide enough to accommodate the feet in sumo. Eyebolts at 4 points, 2 front and 2 back. Add a handle to one side to make it easier to pick up.

SGT ROCK, I've used the setup you are talking about, and my DB's are round as well. All it takes is a few 10 lb plates put in front of the DB's to keep them from rolling, and you should be good.

Can't you use a Sumo platform from Jump Stretch? Unless you just want to make it yourself so it's unique!!!!

Check out Super Training Gym's sight under Jackass's training log. They had a band platform built looks pretty simple to construct.

Rob and the others, thanks guys! Tank.....yes the jumpstretch works fine I am sure but I am looking for options and different band tensions, like Konstantinovs and as Rob pointed out, the Supertraining type setup.

This is my deficit platform with band attachments.

May not be of interest to you.

3" high. Base made of 2x6s laid flat, then 2 layers of 3/4" plywood. Took me a while to find a sheet of plywood with no knots. LOL

Hooks are actually closed eyelets that I cut a small piece out of to slip the bands into. And are held on with a countersunk nut on the bottom.

The only thing I would say, is put the bands over the sleeves so they can rotate as the tension changes. My platforms is sorta like that aswell. I'll post pictures one of these days

Aha! Good point.

I just wanted a deficit platform.

Then added the attachment hooks later. I rarely use bands I must admit.

Thanks for the tip.
