Hi

I have been following Travis and Vinnie doing the raw bench against doubled monster bands.
I have let a friend of mine use my monsters so I tried it with 2 sets of doubled minis.
Worked up to 253lb/115kg plus 160lb bands @ 210, nothing like you top guys but I was happy as I dont max raw very often.

Anyone else have a record against 2 sets of minis?

Thanks.

I thought two sets of dbl minis would add more tension that 160? I don't really know.

I think my best against heavy choked minis was 230lbs, It would be alot less against 2 sets of minis!

Nah I'm pretty sure it's only 80lb per set doubled minis, 110 per set monster minis.
I double them under a dumbell and up over the sleeve, if you just choke them I don't think they would really do much but I have not tried it.
Try it that style Risk it means you get plenty of tension at chest level.
I actually spent a couple of hours testing all my bands with scales set up and found the minis provide 80 at the top and 50 at chest height.
The monsters gave 110 at top and 68 at chest height.
This would change a fair bit depending on chest size and arm length.

When I said choked I meant Its dbled, but with a DB either side of the bench band peg so there is a little more tension. Should of been clear, mini's ALWAYS get dbled :)

Yep, there would be more tension that way for sure.

I can't handle that kind of tension, are you nuts. You are trying to get Luyando in here crackin' skulls.

Seriously, nice job. The band tension is a nice way to switch things up. I'll have to try that one time. I went almost all band tension one time. Just kept adding different bands. It was nuts.

Just an FYI, band tension #s are estimates only as the tension will vary depending on the setup (the more the band gets stretched, the greater the tension) and with the age of the bands.

hahaha

I've done two sets of minis a long time ago, but I can't remember what it came out to exactly. It was somewhere around 365-400.

Thank you, It was great for a change- the tension really comes on at about 3 board height so must be good for the lock-out yet still training raw full range.
Please let me know your max when you give it a go.

Ha ha I'm a while off that well done, 300 against them is in my sights.
