Hit a shirted PR on Monday on bench, single ply F6. Hit a 525 paused with plenty left in me. If I could just work on my arch more I could easily hit a 550I believe. The shirt is pretty loose on me too, if it fit me tightly like it's suppose to be who knows what I would be good for. I can get the shirt on and take off by myself. I rarely ever use my shirt so I am still learning. Will be doing an equipped meet on 19th this month (my first equipped meet), anxious to see what happens. Thinking of opening with 495, 2nd attempt 525 and third attempt to be determined.

I graduate college in mid August and then I'm going to start training hard. I dont' get as much time to train as I'd like right now because I work full time as well. Then I'll start my journals like I want to.

That's a good lift. However, if you can get that shirt on, seated and off by youself then it's too big. I think in your case, a smaller shirt = a bigger lift.

Nice work! Once you've got a bit more time and a tighter shirt your bench should explode.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your raw PR? I am wondering how much you are getting out of a shirt you can get on and off yourself. Either way that is an excellent lift.

Jm,
Good work man! 100+ lbs. w/the F6 is good... Try the Katana... you'll probably get +50 more Lbs. Bad a** shirt brother!

Raw I've hit 415, shirted in a meet 606. I'm in the 198 class; what weight class are you jmccown? It seems that getting about 1 "bodyweight" out of a tight double ply is a good amount to shoot for.

I lift in 242 class, Mikesbench. I lift NASA so they are strictly single ply. I would love to be able to hit a 600+ with a single ply. Is the F6 not a good shirt for this? Is the Katana on the same level as the Rage X?

At my last meet I warmed up with this dude who lifted in the 275 class, we were pretty well the same on our warmups but I lifted raw and he lifted equipped, the dude opened up with a 600 lift in a Rage X and ended up with around 610, I couldn't believe this. So now I've got this in my head that if that dude can do it I sure as heck can too. I just have to learn the shirt (and get the right shirt with the right fit).

as far as single ply shirts, someone correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that a single ply super katana is the best shirt out. I have never used one before, but I always see katana's at single ply meets. There are guys hitting 800+ and I think there are two guys hitting 900+ in a single ply katana. So if I were to choose a single ply shirt, it would be the super katana.

The Katana and Super Katana are two different shirts, right?

Same material, different cut. The Katana is much better than an F6 and the Super Katana is better than the Katana. The Super Katana is the best single ply shirt around.

Which one is the Rage X comparable to?

I've never had a Rage X, but I assume it would be the F6.

Congratulations! Also, Tiny Meeker has done more than 900 in a single-ply Inzer Rage X.

Agreed...

JM,
I just started using a S.Katana and I love it. Like ryano said, its a different cut. Much thicker, wider, lower cut neck line. Mines not even super tight and I get a lot out of it... With the lower cut neck I can really "jack" the shirt any way I want it, depending on how heavy I'm training. Great 1-ply shirt!!!

I'm convinced to get the S. Katana then. I lift next Sunday equipped. I'll use myy F6 and see what I can do. Then in another meet in November I'll have the S Katana.
