I have been told that for weightlifting I should be eating 1g of protein per pound of body weight. How much of this protein should be coming from protein shakes?

Shakes are liquid food. None or all of it depending on how much other protein you are consuming in your diet.

That pretty much sums it up. Just try to spread it out to 4-6 feedings per day. 6 is better but I seldom get that many in. Getting enough protein down is probably my biggest challenge. I try for 250ish per day but don't always succeed. Shakes definately make it easier to do.
