hey guys...

i'm on the hunt for some solid single ply briefs to train in to get used to supporting heavier weight whilte training in and out of raw squatting and nothing more. I would like to hear what you guys have to say and what brands are worth looking into.

I don't compete in full meets, but Inzer has some great single ply briefs: http://www.inzernet.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=HD_GROO

If you were going to go with Inzer I would get the Power Pants - they are like a brief with a little bit of extra material so that you can lock them in place with your belt (almost like the bottom of a squat suit). It is a single ply poly that won't give you much carryover but will protect your hips if you are doing a lot of volume work. They are relatively inexpensive at $35/pair.

Inzer is sometimes hit or miss with customer service though, so I would definitely make sure to place your order over the phone and verify that the product is in stock and ready to be shipped.

In terms of a more powerful brief I have heard good things about the Metal briefs but have not personally used them.

i've heard good things about the Titan Centurion briefs, not sure what your price range is though.

Here is another pair of Titan Briefs, they are only $32 but do not have any material on the legs.

Has anyone on here tried them?

I would go with a pair from TITAN, they make really good single ply gear. You should look into their Dual Quad Briefs.

heard good things about the titan gear!

I am planning on doing alot of heavy squatting here after this upcoming strongman to prep for some upcoming meets but don't want to wear my hips out.

Wicked - if you end up going with the Titan let me know how you like them. I have the power pants but mine are a bit small and am thinking about getting another pair of briefs for training.

Check out Titan. They have the ones with legs.

Definately go with the Titan Centurian (dual quad), not the groove brief type. The legged briefs are much more comfortable to use, get on, and give much better support. I've used the Inzer Power Pants in the past and they don't come close to the Centurions.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'd get more carryover using a pair of Fruit of the Loom briefs I wore back in third grade than the old Groove Briefs. All b.s. aside, they are good for keeping you warm and helping work through a groin injury, but I'd definitely follow mastermonster's advice and go with the Titan Dual Quad briefs.I've seriously got to give it to Pete Alaniz and Titan with the single-ply gear they've been putting out-and with Ken Anderson's knowledge and customer service-John Inzer better step it WAY up.

Instead of starting a new thread, can you guys give me some suggestions for briefs that I can get alot out of? I have a metal V-type squatter, and I lift in a multiply fed, so i'm looking for a solid pair of briefs to wear under my squat suit. What do you think?
