OK... here's the meet results from yesterday..

Squat
1st attempt.. 215kg - 473lbs - 2 red, 1 white (stepped in before command)
2nd attempt.. 235kg - 518lbs - 2 white, 1 red
3rd attempt.. 245kg - 540lbs - 3 red (technicality, see notes)

Bench
1st attempt.. 152.5kg - 335.5lbs - 3 white
2nd attempt.. 165.5kg - 369lbs - 3 red (fail)
3rd attempt.. 165.5kg - 369lbs - 2 white, 1 red

Deadlift
1st attempt.. 247.5kg - 545lbs - 3 white
2nd attempt.. 270kg - 595lbs - 2 white, 1 red (PR)
3rd attempt.. 282.5kg - 622lbs - 2 white, 1 red (PR)

Results
685kg - 1507lb total
1st place overall mens raw
1st place mens raw 275lb

Awesome event. This was so fun, I'll be hitting up another one in the spring once I get down to 242 and boost up my bench. The technicality I failed on the squat was when I unracked it, he called the squat command and I dipped down into my "start" position, took a deep breath and lowered the squat. I ****ing smoked 540.. BUT.. when I took that breath I went up about 2 inches before actually starting my descent which dq'd me for that attempt.. no biggie, now I know.

My bench was pretty shotty at a measy 369lbs, definately needs to go up so I'll really be focusing on that. My hip felt good and the 540 felt strong, but I screwed myself with that rules violation.. oh well.. Next time..

Here's a vid, I'm not sure what's up with the red blotches, I couldn't figure it out. Probably something to do with the import from my cam to my computer.. which is why everyone looks so tall and skinny because this was recorded in 16:3.. I'll figure it out one of these days.

Good lifting man. Especially those deadlifts. You have a lot of potential to pull some big #'s. You made that look easy. Hard to give pointers on bench because of the camera angle. Solid performance.

those judges are some picky bastards. What fed is that? IPF? USAPL?

...maybe for going to low? hahaha Nice lifting! your rear didnt touch the ground...maybe thats why you got redlighted on the 3rd squat...LOL

Great job! your lifts looked great to me haha. im not seeing anything that you should of been red lighted for.

Yeah, im missing the 540 red lights. Oh well, you'll definitly get it next time. Plus room to go up on that deadlift as well!

red lights on the 540 squat were a technicality. I stepped out and setup, he said squat, and I dipped into my squat position w/ back arched ass out, etc.. I took a deep breath which raised me up a couple inches then I went for the squat. I red lighted because you aren't allowed to go up until you've hit depth..

redlight on the third bench was similar.. when I held it on my chest, I let it dip alittle before pushing it back up..

redlights on the deadlift were because I pushed my hips forward so much that my knees unlocked before putting it down..


thanks for the props everyone.. I only started strength training about 4-5 months ago and I'm thinking within another year I should be in the 1700lb range.. but I'm going to try to compete in 242s..
